課程概述 |
This course seeks to enhance students’ English proficiency in listening, speaking and reading in the contexts of real-life communications and academic learning. Designed to guide students to understand how they can be personally and intellectually involved in mastering basic skills of English, peer collaboration and in-class activities are vital to the learning process. |

課程目標 |
Objectives:
Toward the end of this semester, the students are expected to
1. comprehend oral English in the contexts of communication.
2. learn the reading skills of inference and contextual meanings.
3. write description and analysis.
4. communicate with others in oral English with some fluency.
5. develop a habit of learning from authentic materials.

課程要求 |
Requirements:
1. Students who miss more than 9 hours will not be allowed to take the final exam. You are encouraged to avoid chronic lateness. Anyone who misses more than one hour of the class will be counted as absent half a time.
2. Collaborate with classmates in class activities.
3. Hand in the assignments on time. Late assignments will be subject to point reduction.
